“Ghost of Cranbrook”
I was photographing the lake (see background) at Cranbrook and I somehow captured the “essence” of a ghost.
I have zoomed in to provide what detail I could.

Engagement Photos

July 7th, 2008

One of my housemates is engaged, so I took some engagement photos for him. These are a few I felt like dolling up.
He paid me with a 12-pack of Corona. The photo business really does pay.

Editing Project

July 7th, 2008

This is a project I edited for a student at USC. We are both quite happy with how it turned out. In fact, we’re going in to do some re-editing so she can submit it for festivals. Apparently it was a hit when she premiered it at her school.
Enjoy.

A Thought and A Recipe

June 29th, 2008

Well, my house finally has internet after two months, so (hopefully) I will be making more frequent posts on here.
To put an end to this drought, I give you a thought:

I’m glad Bright Eyes isn’t popular anymore. Well, he may be popular for middle-schoolers or something, but as far as I can tell, no one my age listens to him anymore. And that is fine by me — I hate that man.

On a happier note, Claire had the most wonderful culinary creation this week. In fact, I figured I’d post the recipe here, and for lack of a better name it will be called:

Claire’s Quesadillas

ingredients:

  • tortillas (as many as you wanna eat)
chicken (enough to fill your tortillas, of course)
mayo (as much as you’d like to slather on)
    chives (about 8 stalks)
    rosemary (a decent amount)
cheese (enough to sprinkle over the tortilla)
black beans (as much as you wanna dump on)
  • preparation:

  • Cut up the chives and rosemary into fine bits. Mix it in with the mayo in a bowl.
Cut the chicken into strips or bite-size pieces. Grilling is always recommended, but cook it however you please.
Lightly grease a skillet with olive oil.
Cover a tortilla with your mayo/chives/rosemary mixture.
Place the tortilla on the skillet. Fill it with chicken, cheese, and beans.
    Place another tortilla on top.
When the bottom tortilla has cooked to your liking, flip the whole thing over (this can be a difficult process).
Once the flip side has cooked, take your quesadilla off the skillet.
Eat it like there’s no tomorrow.

Really, the sauce mixture is what made this quesadilla fantastic. In fact, I am in talks to sell the recipe and start my own restaurant chain — it’s just that good.

Well, I loved the quesadilla. I hope you do too.

  • It has begun again…(and some newly discovered photos)

    May 16th, 2008

So this morning I woke up to the sounds of cars honking. In Los Angeles?, you ask, incredulously.
I know, it’s an uncommon sound. But the cars kept on honking. And honking. This was no ordinary event. I looked out the window, and behold, some people from SAG (Screen Actors Guild, just in case) had gathered and were holding signs encouraging cars to honk in support of SAG.
Soooo…in short, it looks like things are gearing up for the actors to go on strike in June. What the means for me is that pretty much I could kiss my chances for getting a job goodbye.

On another note, I stumbled upon some photos I took awhile ago, and I wanted to share them with you:

    Clouds Over the Keys

Update:I just got a call from an entertainment company, and they are interested in hiring me to do script reading. Pray that I get the job.

    Just to let you know…

    May 11th, 2008

I won’t have the internet until about June, so don’t be expecting any posts for awhile.

In the meantime I’m reading a lot and enjoying life.

Pray that I find a job.

    New Address!

    May 2nd, 2008

Well, for the next year of my life this will be my address:

    430 S. Fairfax Ave.
    Los Angeles, CA 90036

NOTE:If you are sending a package, please make sure it has delivery confirmation. I live on a busy street, so if the package is just left on the doorstep it will likely disappear forever.

So I live in a sweet little townhouse I will be sharing with four other males. Hopefully when my life is a bit more sorted out I’ll be able to provide some more details.
